Resolution 2020-90 - Change Order with Central Business Equipment for High Density Storage at Police HQ Facility

Background

In October 2020, the Board of Commissioners approved an agreement with Central Business Systems dba Patterson Pope for high density storage systems in the Police headquarters facility. The systems were installed in the evidence vault and the records storage area.

After installation of the records storage system, staff determined it was necessary to have a portion of the storage units keyed differently than the remainder. This was necessary to more securely restrict access to juvenile records. Because the change to the lock cylinders after installation was added to the scope of work from what was originally bid and approved by the Board last fall, a change order is necessary to authorize payment for this additional work.

The cost of the additional work is $485.00.

Staff Recommendation

Staff recommends approval of the additional work related to the high density storage system.

Previous Commission Action

The original agreement for the high density storage systems was approved by the Board of Commissioners via Resolution 2020-102 on October 12, 2020.
