Approval of Purchase of services with CentralSquare for Police RMS upgrade.

Background

One of this year's Technology projects is to upgrade the server that the Police Department's Records Management System (RMS) is using. The current server's operating system is using Windows Server 2012, and the new server will operate using Windows Server 2019. The RMS software has not been capable of running on the newer operating system until recent upgrades to their software. The upgrade is necessary as Windows Server 2012 is not going to be supported by Microsoft in the near future and the newer operating system will keep the system compliant with advanced multilayer security features. Completion of the upgrade will require assistance from the software manufacture, CentralSquare. The cost for their services will be $17,160. This is a planned expenditure in the Police Department's FY 2022 budget.
