Approval to pay a revised Invoice for Annual Maintenance to Tyler Technologies for FY 2021 for Brazos RDC & eCitation.

Background

In 2014, the Brentwood Police Department signed a contract with Tyler Technologies for Brazos Handheld Ticket Writers to be used by officers in the field to issue citations. Under that agreement, there was a recurring maintenance cost associated with these devices each fiscal year with an annual increase of three percent. Funding was provided in FY 2021 for this purpose. The original invoice was not for the correct amount and had to be adjusted due to the number of licenses being incorrect. This revised invoice corrects the amount that should be paid to Tyler. Because the amount is over $10,000, City Commission approval is required.

This invoice covers the cost of:

Brazos Interface to Court software (Pushes electronic citation data to Court software)
Brazos Remote Data Capture (RDC) software (Electronic ticketing project; officers use handheld device to scan DL, registration, complete ticket electronically, ability to take 4 images and record 3 minutes of audio; ruggedize devices with printers in cars.
Brazos eCitation software
