Public Hearing on Ordinance 2022-03 - An ordinance of the City of Brentwood to establish the tax levy for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023.

Background

The proposed Tax Rate Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2023 was reviewed with the City Commission at a work session on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Formal public hearings were held at City Commission meetings on Monday, May 23, 2022 and Monday, June 13, 2022. A third public hearing is set for Monday, June 27, 2022.

No public comments were received at the May 23, 2022 or the June 13, 2022 public hearings.

Previous Commission Action

Each year, the City Commission reviews and adopts the appropriations and tax levy ordinances for the new fiscal year. An opportunity for citizens to provide comments on the proposed ordinances is provided through three formal public hearings. The June 27, 2022 public hearing represents the third and final opportunity for formal public comments on the proposed FY 2023 tax levy ordinance.
