Public Hearing on Ordinance 2022-03 - An ordinance of the City of Brentwood to establish the tax levy for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023.

Background

The proposed Tax Rate Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2023 was reviewed with the City Commission at a work session on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The first of three formal public hearings on the proposed Tax Rate Ordinance occurred on Monday, May 23, 2022. No citizens spoke during this hearing. The second public hearing is Monday, June 13, 2022, and the final is Monday, June 27, 2022.

Previous Commission Action

Each year, the City Commission reviews and adopts the appropriations and tax levy ordinances for the new fiscal year. An opportunity for citizens to provide comments on the proposed ordinances is provided through three formal public hearings. The June 13, 2021 public hearing represents the second of three public hearings for the FY 2023 tax levy ordinance.
