Public Hearing on Ordinance 2022-02 - An appropriations ordinance for the City of Brentwood for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023, including the Brentwood Emergency Communications District.

Background

The proposed FY 2022-2023 appropriations ordinance was reviewed with the Board of Commissioners at a work session on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Formal public hearings on the ordinance have been held at City Commission meetings on Monday, May 23, 2022 and Monday, June 13, 2022. No public comments were received at those public hearings. A third and final public hearing is scheduled for Monday, June 27, 2022. For additional information, please review the backup material for Ordinance 2022-02 on the June 27, 2022 agenda under "Old Business."

Previous Commission Action

Each year, the City Commission officially adopts the City’s annual operating budget through the passage of the appropriations ordinance. An opportunity for citizens to provide comments on the proposed operating budget is provided through three formal public hearings. The June 27, 2022 public hearing represents the third and final public hearings for the FY 2023 appropriations ordinance. Ordinance 2022-02 was approved on first reading at the May 23, 2022 meeting. Final reading of the ordinance is scheduled for the June 27, 2022 meeting
