Resolution 2021-76 - Approval to dispose of two chipper trucks and 22 bleachers at various parks.

Background

The Parks and Recreation Department requests City Commission approval to dispose of two chipper trucks at auction utilizing Govdeals.com. These older vehicles were recently replaced with newer used chipper trucks transferred from Public Works. All City-related decals have been or will be removed prior to sale. The condition of the vehicles will be clearly stated in the auction, as well as the contingency that they are being sold as-is.

In addition, the Parks Department also requests City Commission approval to dispose of 22 sets of bleachers that were recently replaced at Crockett Park and Granny White Park. Since these bleachers are no longer in compliance with safety standards and they are made of aluminum, they will be sold for metal weight.

2008 Sterling Chipper Truck
2002 International Chipper Truck
16 Baseball Complex bleachers at Crockett Park
6 Baseball Complex bleachers at Granny White Park
