| Resolution 2021-68 - Annual Paving Contract Extension and Change Order with Four Star Paving |
| Background |
The City of Brentwood contracts for Annual Paving Repairs and Resurfacing work throughout the City. As part of that contract, we combine some scheduled ADA work and unscheduled storm water culvert replacements as needed. Therefore, the dollar amount requested for approval includes a maximum amount that could be spent with Four Star in FY22. Attached is the adjusted contract pricing for year 3, as authorized through the initial contract.
Four Star Paving has been the contract holder for the majority of the past 20 years, performing good quality work for the City. The current contract was bid out in the spring of 2019 with the contract award dated April 22, 2019. The contract was extended by the City Commission on April 27, 2020, for the second year. The initial contract authorizes two individual extensions, which if approved will take us through June 30, 2022. |
| Staff Recommendation |
Staff recommends extending the Annual Paving Contract for Fiscal Year 2022, authorizing a total dollar amount of $2,900,000 as a contract ceiling. This includes a combination of funds from the Street Resurfacing, ADA Retrofits, Bike and Pedestrian, and Subdivision Drainage budgets. A list of locations recommended to be paved, will be brought before the City Commission at a future meeting.

On April 22, 2019 the City Commission Approved Resolution 2019-40 Authorizing an Agreement with Four Start Paving, LLC., for Annual Roadway Repairs and Improvements.
On April 27, 2020 the City Commission approved Change Order #1 to extend the 2019 Contract for the second year.
