Public Hearing on Ordinance 2021-11 - An ordinance of the City of Brentwood to establish the tax levy for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022.

Background

The proposed Tax Rate Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2022 was reviewed with the City Commission at a work session on Thursday, May 13, 2021. The first of three formal public hearings on the proposed Tax Rate Ordinance occurred on Monday, May 24, 2021. No citizens spoke during this hearing. The second is Monday, June 14, 2021, and the final is Monday, June 28, 2021.

Previous Commission Action

Each year, the City Commission reviews and adopts the appropriations and tax levy ordinances for the new fiscal year. An opportunity for citizens to provide comments on the proposed ordinances is provided through three formal public hearings. The May 24, 2021 public hearing represented the first of three public hearings for the FY 2022 tax levy ordinance.
