Resolution 2023-53 - Reauthorization of Outside City Sewer Connection for 9725 Split Log Rd

Background

On May 23, 2022, the City Commission approved Resolution 2022-46 authorizing the extension of public sewer to serve the property at 9725 Split Log Road. The property includes an area of approximately 8.3 acres and is located on the south side of Split Log Road, just east of the Cromwell subdivision, and within the City's Urban Growth Boundary (UGB). Under the terms of the City's policy regarding extension of public sewer outside the city limits, approval of such a sewer connection shall expire one year from the date of approval if construction work has not been initiated prior to the one-year expiration date.

As discussed in the attached email from the property owners, they have not yet begun construction on the home or the sewer extension and are requesting a one-year extension of the approval. Staff has no concerns with the proposed extension and would recommend City Commission approval.

All the terms and conditions of the agreement executed following the original approval and recorded at the Williamson County Register of Deeds remain in effect. A copy of that agreement is attached.
