PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Revised Site Plan – Brentwood Middle School – Addition of Portable Classrooms – 5324 Murray Lane

Ragan Smith Associates requests approval to add three additional portable classrooms on the north of the site. Two portables would be single classrooms and will measure 24’ x 42’, (1,008 sf). A fifth portable is proposed ay the SW corned of the site, which would be a double classroom.

Currently there are two other existing portables on the property located on the north side of the school.

The structures will not be connected to water or sewer. Students will use the existing fixtures in the main building. However, the structures will be connected to the fire alarm system in the main building.

The current enrollment is 1,222 students. The school has a capacity of 1,105 students. Currently the school is at 110.6% of its capacity. The projected enrollment for the 2016/2017 school year is 1,235.

A prefabricated aluminum ramp will provide handicap access to each unit.
