The City of Brentwood facilities have aging fiber optic cables and connections inside the buildings. Fiber is a critical infrastructure necessary for daily operations. The Technology department published an Request For Proposals (RFP) seeking a qualified company to inspect and update the existing fiber and fiber termination equipment in City facilities to today's standards. Two companies responded to the request.
Staff is recommending awarding the project to Kane Konnections. Kane's proposal was the only one that included all necessary components and services required for successful completion of the project.
The project will include replacing old existing fiber with new fiber as well as updating fiber terminations for the Library, Ravenswood Mansion, and City Hall. The cost is $39,013.07.
Please contact the Technology Director with any questions.
