Approval to Purchase a Pickup Truck for Parks Department off State Contract
Background
The City's Capital Projects Fund budget for FY 2026 includes the replacement of one pickup truck for the Parks Department that is used for a variety of work functions. It will ultimately replace a part-time vehicle as we cycle our fleet from full-time to part-time. Wilson County Motors was awarded the State of Tennessee Statewide Contract (SWC#209) in October. Attached is the quote and state contract information for your review.

Funding of $50,000 was included in the Capital Projects Fund Budget for this purpose.  The Parks Department is requesting $46,332.20 to purchase this truck, which is within the budgeted amount.

Staff recommend purchasing the attached 4WD Chevy 2500 vehicle from Wilson County Motors utilizing the State of Tennessee Statewide Contract SWC#209.
