In 2014, the City partnered with Williamson County, Williamson County ECD and the City of Franklin for high speed notification services provided by Everbridge. Everbridge is the vendor most capable of delivering high speed notification services to area residents. The attached interlocal agreement will extend this inter-local partnership for an additional five year term.
Under this arrangement, the County will continue to be the contract holder for the Everbridge system, and Franklin and Brentwood will hold a license for the system. The system is entirely web-based, so Brentwood emergency communications staff have full access to the system for the purpose of sending messages to Brentwood residents in time of emergencies. There is no required hardware for the City to maintain/replace. In an extreme emergency situation, the system is designed so the County and Franklin can send a notification to Brentwood residents and vice-versa.
The annual cost to Brentwood will be $17,349.00 which is the same as the original agreement and is funded in the Police Department's operating budget. The interlocal agreement has a maximum term of five years and includes an annual option for any party to terminate for convenience.
