The John P. Holt Brentwood Library Policy Manual includes all the revisions recommended by the Library Board since the last revision of the Brentwood Room Collection Development policy in Spring 2020. There revisions will be helpful to the Library staff in providing better public service. Each change is described briefly below, and the page on which it appears is cited.
I. Organizational Responsibility, F. ADA Compliance Statement, page 6.
This statement has been included to be compliant with ADA requirements, and Tennessee Standards for Public Libraries requirements in the Regional Library System.

These sections of the Policy Manual have had updates and corrections to be in compliance with the Tennessee Standards for Public Libraries in the Regional Library System requirements.

The pilot program for teacher paraprofessionals was removed as Covid-19 has impacted any data that could be collected on the success of this program; if there is further interest, this pilot program should be reexamined during a normal school year.
II. Operating Guidelines,
G. Volunteers, page 32.
This section is newly created, in order to set out how volunteers are recruited and selected, what their roles and responsibilities are, and how the Library provides recognition to be in compliance with the Tennessee Standards for Public Libraries in the Regional Library System requirements. .
IV. Appendices, Appendix A, The John P. Holt Brentwood Library Board of Trustee Bylaws, pages 39 – 47.
These sections of the Policy Manual have had updates and corrections to be in compliance with the Tennessee Standards for Public Libraries in the Regional Library System requirements.
IV. Appendices, Appendix F, Strategic Planning, 2020-2024, page 54 – 59.
The Library Board requested that the current Strategic Planning overview be included in the Policy Manual, to be updated when a new strategic planning process is done in the future.
