PROJECT DESCRIPTION
  Batson & Associates requests approval of a revised site plan for the Music City Motor Cars, which is nearing completion at 1599 Mallory Lane.  The proposed revised plan includes the following: 
  1. An enlarged vehicle display area located on the south side of the building.  The modifications include eliminating the circular display area and adding a gated driveway to access the rear of building;
  2. The modifications also include addition of a retaining wall on the south side of the display area;
  3. Increased the density of the proposed trees planted in the green space behind the building. A total of 34 trees are to be added behind the building, and
  4. Extended the retaining wall along a portion of Mallory Lane.
 The area of the building remains unchanged at 34,415 sf.
 
The following is a comparison of the landscaping plans approved for the project;

 The plan also proposes planting 251 replacement caliper inches, while the previously approved plan proposed planting 159.5 replacement caliper inches.  The caliper inch density has also increased from 141” to 158”. 
 
A revised plan was last approved by the Planning Commission in March 2016.
